A survey on the big society, targeted at people in the voluntary sector and local government, is being extended for an extra week.

The survey by Third Sector and Local Government Chronicle aims to find out whether those working in the two sectors have a good grasp of the government's big society concept, and how they think it will work out in practice.

Ministers have made it clear they expect local councils to work closely with the voluntary sector over service delivery and neighbourhood renewal. More details are expected in a decentralisation bill, due to be published soon.
