The charity set up in memory of murdered Briton Lucie Blackman is to face Charity Commission scrutiny.

A former employee of the Lucie Blackman Trust is understood to have contacted the commission last week with a complaint about financial controls.

A spokesman for the commission confirmed it had received a complaint, but said it had not yet launched a full investigation. "We are considering these concerns to determine what action may be required," he said.

Matt Searle, a trust spokesman, said he was confident the commission would find nothing amiss.
