Blunkett invited to join militant fathers

Fathers 4 Justice has waded into the debate over David Blunkett's court battle by offering the Home Secretary fast-track membership and a Father Christmas outfit.

The organisation, which campaigns for better access rights for fathers separated from their children, is planning Christmas protests around the country, culminating in 2,000 members dressed as Santa Claus descending on Buckingham Palace on 18 December.

Founder Matt O'Connor said: "David Blunkett's fight to gain access to the child he believes is his son highlights the plight of thousands of fathers in the UK.

"We urge him to become a member and have even offered to fast- track his application and throw in a Father Christmas suit as he might need our advice and support sooner than he thinks."
