Bond appoints vice chair to oversee new strategy

Anna Feuchtwang, chief executive of international children's charity EveryChild, has been appointed vice chair of Bond, the UK network for voluntary organisations working in international development.

Feuchtwang will oversee a new strategy at Bond. The role will include ensuring that international development organisations have unified policies for both overseas development and campaigning in the UK as well as building up a membership network and ensuring effective funding and staffing.

Feuchtwang has sat on Bond’s board of trustees since 2006. She has over 13 years’ experience in international development, and worked for Oxfam before joining EveryChild as chief executive in 2004. She has also been chair of the ActionAid UK board of trustees.

“I feel very honoured to have been elected as Bond’s vice chair,” she said. “My commitment to Bond represents my commitment to contribute to the healthy development of the UK international development sector and my belief in our ability to influence change at national and international level.”
