Britain's Most Admired Charities night to be screened on Community Channel

Highlights of annual awards to be shown on 26, 28 and 30 May

This year's Britain's Most Admired Charities event will be televised for the first time next week on the Community Channel.

Highlights of the night included entrepreneur and Dragons' Den star Duncan Bannatyne presenting the Celebrity Charity Champion award to actor Joanna Lumley. It will also show James Partridge, the chief executive of disfigurement charity Changing Faces, collecting the Most Admired Chief Executive prize.

The Community Channel will broadcast the awards, which are run by Third Sector, at 7.30am and 7.30pm on 26, 28 and 30 May. The Community Channel is available on Freeview, Sky and Virgin TV.

The winners of the awards are chosen by charity chief executives, who vote on a shortlist compiled by a panel of advisers from the sector.
