Broadway finishes merger with arrival of chief executive

The merger of London homelessness charities Riverpoint and Housing Services Agency has been completed with the appointment of Howard Sinclair as chief executive of the new organisation, Broadway.

Sinclair joins after four years as director of Mencap Cymru. He replaces Alan Cripps, Housing Services Agency's last chief executive, who had retained the post during the period of transition.

"I had always intended to move on after having steered the merger through, but part of me regrets leaving at such an exciting stage,

said Cripps, who is to become a consultant.

Broadway began life in April and runs services such as street outreach and tenancy support schemes. It has 150 staff and a turnover of £6 million.
