Burnett honoured for lifetime contribution

Fundraising guru Ken Burnett collected the Lifetime Contribution Award at the Institute of Fundraising National Awards last night.

Burnett, director of publishing company White Lion Press and a trustee of Action Aid International, accepted his award from Giles Hutchins, head of customer-relationship management at Atos Origin, the category sponsor.

Burnett is the author of Relationship Fundraising and other fundraising texts. Among the 15 winners also collecting awards in front of the 800-strong audience at last night's presentation dinner were Sue Ryder Care, which won Best Fundraising Charity to Work For, Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, which won Fundraising Team of the Year, and Barnardo's, which won Most Innovative Fundraising Campaign.
