CAF competition hits national TV screens

The Charities Aid Foundation is to get regular exposure on a national news programme.

Five News has agreed to run a competition to find Britain's kindest kids after being approached by CAF.

Newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky will present the winner with £1,000. The victor will also receive a £1,000 CAF voucher to give to their favourite causes.

A five-strong panel, including CAF chief executive John Low and Kaplinsky, will agree a shortlist of five candidates. Five News will tell their stories at the end of July, and viewers will pick a winner.

"I urge charities to nominate young people who raise money or volunteer with them," said Low. "This competition will not only highlight the work of young people, but also the causes they support."

Five News will also promote the event on its website.
