CAF head of policy off to Middle East

The Charities Aid Foundation's executive director for external affairs and policy, Andrew Jones, will leave the organisation at the end of the year.

Jones will take up a new communications role at the Abu Dhabi Airports Company in the Middle East in January. He is the first director to leave CAF since John Low became its chief executive in August after a flurry of senior management departures last year.

"I'm not leaving because John has arrived," said Jones. "In the past, coverage of directors leaving CAF has attracted all sorts of speculation, but this is straightforward: I had an offer I couldn't turn down. I'm sad to be going, because I've enjoyed working with John."

On the recruitment of his replacement, Jones said: "John is giving some thought as to which headhunters to retain, and the search will start shortly."
