A free website designed to help charities avoid planning events that clash with others will be launched next month.
Calendar Check has been set up to help national and local charities organise and plan their events more effectively. Charities can upload details of their events to the online calendar in order to avoid booking the same date as other functions by mistake.
More than 20 charities have already registered on the website and have started uploading events. These include Cancer Research UK, the NSPCC and the British Red Cross. The site will be launched officially on 12 May.
Nick Wayne, co-founder of Calendar Check, said: "We hope organisers and fundraisers will continue to upload their events throughout the year, from sponsored walks to car boot sales through to annual fundraising dinners and glitzy balls. Calendar Check is looking forward to helping maximise opportunities to make every charitable event a roaring success."
