Call for Queen's Award nominations
The Office of the Third Sector is urging voluntary groups to send nominations for the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2008.
“Voluntary groups give so much to enrich the lives of others,” said Phil Hope, minister for the third sector. “The work they do holds our society together by giving everyone the chance to be included in their communities. We urge people to give them a boost now by nominating them for the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2008.”
More than 560 voluntary groups have received the distinction since 2002. Details of how to nominate can be found on the award’s website. The winners will be announced on 2 June 2008.
