Cath Lee is new head of Small Charities Coalition

Interim chief executive is appointed on a permanent basis to replace Patrick Cox

The Small Charities Coalition has appointed its acting head Cath Lee as its permanent chief executive.

Lee, who has been operations director at the organisation since November 2008, took over as interim chief executive in November after the departure of Patrick Cox.

She will work four days a week running the coalition, which employs two other members of staff. Lee has previously worked at housing and homelessness charities Shelter and Crisis, and at the RNIB.

She said her first priority was to recruit more charities of all sizes to take part in the coalition's matchmaking scheme, which pairs up small organisations with larger ones that can provide them with support.
