Your chance to shadow media pros

Media Trust, the charity that helps voluntary organisations improve their media skills, is offering charity employees the opportunity to shadow media professionals.

Organisations are being invited to apply to the trust's programme, Media Connections, which will help their staff learn from broadcasters at regional and national companies, including the BBC and Newsquest.

Those selected will learn what makes a good news story and how to improve their charities' relationships with the press so they can get better publicity for their work.

The scheme is open to anyone who has worked as a press officer in the UK voluntary sector for at least two years.

Media Trust works in partnership with the media industry. Its corporate members include the BBC, BSkyB, the Daily Mail and the Guardian Media Group.
