Charities in final push for donations on #finalfiver day

The old £5 note ceases to be legal tender after today, and some charities want to take them off your hands

Old fivers cease to be legal tender after today and charities have been keen to get in on the act by using social media channels and the #finalfiver hashtag to appeal to the public to donate theirs.

Some companies such as Wetherspoons are also getting involved to support their charity partners.
