The Charity Commission will hold its annual public meeting on 26 September in London.
The commission is inviting charities, trustees and charity advisers to attend the meeting between 4pm and 6pm at Church House in Westminster.
It will be the first to be chaired by William Shawcross, who became chair of the regulator in October. The commission said attendees would have the opportunity to meet the regulator’s new board members, who were announced in May.
The meeting will include a panel discussion on the topic of "Charity tribunal: essential forum or last resort?" with Kenneth Dibble, chief legal adviser at the commission, Dominic Fox, chief executive of the Association of Charitable Organisations, and Francesca Quint, a barrister specialising in charity law at Radcliffe Chambers.
Sam Younger, chief executive of the commission, will give an overview of the commission’s work over the past year and there will be an opportunity to ask questions, a statement from the regulator said.
