Charity wins development fund contract

Newly merged youth charity Rainer Crime Concern has won a contract to manage a new development fund that will provide capacity-building services for youth charities.

The charity will manage the Department for Children, Schools and Families' Youth Sector Development Fund in partnership with employee-owned company Ecotec, social enterprise PrimeTimers, and private company Business to Business.

The fund will provide third sector youth organisations with mentoring and training expertise.

"We know there is a big challenge within the sector to make commissioning and procurement processes more accessible, and to better equip those organisations to take up new development and funding opportunities," said Fran Pollard, assistant director at Rainer Crime Concern.

"Through this exciting partnership we can bring some of our expertise in this area to bear," Pollard added.
