Fashion students from Wolverhampton University have 'up-cycled' garments donated to Newlife Foundation to create a collection for this week's Clothes Show Live event in Birmingham.

Visitors to the event can view the collection, which students say was inspired by samurai armour, and find out about the disabled children's  charity's work.

Meanwhile, youth volunteering charity v is also running an up-cycled fashion project called Fashion Favours to raise money for HIV charity Body & Soul.
