Two bursaries, funded by investment management firm Rensburg Sheppards, are available to help fundraisers working for Christian voluntary groups to work towards the institute’s Certificate in Fundraising qualification.
This is the second year that the bursaries have been offered. They are part of Rensburg Sheppard’s charity division’s programme of support for the special interest group. The company also hosts regular networking meetings for members of the group.
Charles Mesquita, charities specialist at Rensburg Sheppard, said: “Our support for Fundraisers in Christian Organisations is part of our ongoing commitment to the sector, and we are particularly pleased that this has resulted in these bursaries. The standard of entries was extremely high and the eventual winners should be commended for their compelling submissions.”
The 2007 bursaries went to Trudy Adjrah of the Evangelical Alliance and Anne Bouvier of WHCM Counselling and Support.
“Christian organisations face special responsibilities and challenges when fundraising, and the support from Rensburg Sheppard is invaluable,” said Charles Gibbs, chair of Fundraisers in Christian Organisations.
