Collection box thief banned from boozers

A thief who stole a charity collection box from a pub has been banned from all the bars in his home town.

Darren Wright was banned for a year by every member of the Pubwatch organisation in Seaford, East Sussex, after stealing a collection box belonging to St Wilfrid’s Hospice from the Seven Sisters pub in the town.

Mr Wright, 26, of East Dean Rise, Seaford, was found guilty of the theft, which took place last November.

He was ordered to repay £12 to the hospice and pay £60 court costs. He also received a year’s community order with a condition that he is supervised by probation officers.
