Communication News: Freedom Food ads to target shoppers' habits at Christmas

The RSPCA's Freedom Food scheme is launching one of its biggest-ever campaigns to increase consumer awareness of animal welfare issues in the run-up to Christmas.

The campaign will feature press adverts focusing on three key product areas - eggs, chickens and turkeys. Each of them will highlight the benefits of improved welfare standards, urge consumers to buy Freedom Food labelled products and direct them to approved retailers.

The adverts will appear in a number of national newspapers and Radio Times in the run-up to Christmas.

Nina Crump, marketing controller of Freedom Food said: "We hope to make a real difference to people's shopping habits this Christmas."
