Communications News: Candid camera

Mencap will showcase 32 photographs taken by, and of, people with learning disabilities at London's Victoria & Albert Museum from Friday. The images, such as this photo of Jeff Jones were selected from more than 850 entrants to the second year of its Snap! competition. The picture is accompanied by these words: "I want to go to the seaside. I want to smoke my pipe. I want to drink lager in a pub. And become very Hype!" Mencap hopes the exhibition, which runs until 8 August, will increase understanding and help to end discrimination against people with a learning disability.
