Communications News: Chinese group set for health info push

The Chinese Mental Health Association is to send out its first mental health promotion resources to the UK's Chinese community next week.

Some 2,000 copies of a directory of 24 Chinese-speaking mental health services in the UK will be sent to Chinese people with mental health issues and their carers.

Also, 2,000 copies of each translated version of the 33 booklets, originally created by Mind, will be sent to GP surgeries, NHS Trusts, Chinese community centres and carers. Subjects include understanding depression, mental illness and eating disorders.

Additionally, the Community Channel will soon screen a documentary called Mental Health Trio.
