Communications News: Church to hire first marketing director

The Kingsway International Christian Centre is advertising for its first ever director of communications and marketing to assist the charity's plans to double its membership.

The community church in Hackney, east London, which currently serves 12,000 people from 46 nations, aims to boost that figure to 25,000 and build a 10,000 capacity church to replace the existing one that seats 3,500 people.

Judy Clements, chair of the centre, said: "We are also advertising for a director of finance and legal services, and for a chief operating officer to form a new board."

The changes follow a two-year Charity Commission inquiry into the centre's finances.
