COMMUNICATIONS NEWS: Dead in the water

WWF's Who Cares? print campaign highlights marine pollution this month. The ad is the latest in a long-running series that emphasises the environmental aspect of the charity's work and aims to galvanise support among environmentally minded members of the public. Previous ads have linked rainforest deforestation to medical treatment, toxic chemicals and birth defects, global warming and last year's floods in the UK. The ad will appear in consumer titles throughout June and is designed to appeal to people who may not have got involved with environmental activism before.

It directs them to a web site, uk/whocares, which gives them information on WWF and the simple steps they can take to help the environment.
