The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund will mark its fifth anniversary next month by appointing 10 young beneficiaries as media ambassadors.
The 10 "Young Voices", as they have been named, are aged 12 to 25 and have all been helped to overcome severe disadvantage through the fund's projects.
The charity aims to continue the Diana legacy by giving priority to excluded groups and speaking out on unglamorous issues. The ambassadors reflect this target group. One is a young Albanian refugee, now studying in London, another has overcome mental health problems, while another with learning disabilities has found a job.
All 10 ambassadors will receive communications skills and public speaking training before appearing at a press conference later this month to mark the anniversary.
