COMMUNICATIONS NEWS: Greenpeace extols benefits of having sex during the day

Greenpeace has produced an environmentally friendly sex guide urging people to have baths together and have sex during the day to save on energy.

"Getting it on for the good of the planet

is a light-hearted attempt to convert more people to the environmental cause, said Tracy Franzel, Greenpeace's web editor and designer of the site.

"We're trying to grab the attention of people we don't normally reach,

she said. "When they hear about Greenpeace, they hear doom and gloom.

We wanted to show them the lighter side of how they can help."

Genetically engineered foods, energy consumption and pesticides are all covered in a list of 10 points linking green consumerism with libido.

The site can be accessed through Greenpeace.org.
