Communications News: London groups get a free web service

Community and voluntary groups in five London boroughs are to benefit from a new service which enables them to create their own website for free.

Some 32 organisations have signed up since the Community Advice Service web initiative began last week in Camden, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster and City of London.

The system will build and host new sites for each organisation, who will each save up to £15,000 in associated costs per year.

Interested groups should visit to register. People with moderate computer skills can select a site design from a number of templates and input their own details and information.
