COMMUNICATIONS NEWS: Revised timetables

Disability charity Leonard Cheshire has launched a postcard campaign to pressure the Government to replace inaccessible trains by 2020, instead of 2035 as proposed. Last year, the charity launched its Mind the Gap campaign showing the effect that poor transport has on the lives of disabled people. The Department of Transport is inviting submissions of ideas of when all trains should be accessible. The outcome will not be part of the draft disability bill, but inserted into the final bill.
