Communications News: Sight for sore eyes

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association will send out 20,000 Focus Eye packs during Healthy Eyes awareness month, to highlight the importance of regular eye tests. The charity is sending the packs containing distorted images to represent varying degrees of sight loss to the top 10,000 companies, 6,000 health and safety managers and MPs and charity donors. It hopes the campaign will raise levels of free workplace eyecare programmes offered by employers. The pack will include an 'EyeKon' screensaver that flashes once an hour to remind computer users to take a break and rest their eyes.
