COMMUNICATIONS NEWS: Student Aids group tours campuses to highlight HIV rates

Young people from across the world are embarking on a nationwide university tour to rally support for the Students Stop Aids Campaign's new 'Unite To Fight Aids' initiative.

Representatives from the charity, a coalition of youth campaign groups, will tour campuses around the UK to give people the opportunity to hear about what it is like for young people living in areas devastated by the epidemic.

The tour is supported by MTV, as part of its 'Staying Alive' campaign that aims to raise awareness of HIV and Aids among young people.

'Unite To Fight Aids' will culminate in a rally in London on World Aids Day on 1 December, where supporters will ask the Government to provide better access to care and treatment for those affected by the disease.
