Communications News: Third Sector piece sees Snow signed

Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow has become a patron of the Rett Syndrome Association UK.

The charity approached Snow after reading how he helped other charities such as the Treehouse Trust and New Horizon in 'Why I Give' (Third Sector, 10 March).

"We're delighted because his fame is bound to get us media attention," said Anna Salamonowicz, the charity's director. "He has personal links with neurological conditions because his daughter has special needs."

Snow will lend his name to campaigns linked to the charity, such as Jeans for Genes Day later this year. He has also promised to consider doing the voice-over for a multi-media campaign.
