COMMUNICATIONS NEWS: Tommy's awards to spur on firms to be more baby-friendly

Tommy's, the baby charity, is hoping to put pressure on firms to become more family friendly by encouraging parents to vote for the organisations that provide them with good services and products.

The charity's Parent Friendly Awards aim to commend organisations and brands that provide suitable products, environments and facilities for pregnant women and young families. These might include wider checkouts, more baby feeding and rest areas, and higher levels of customer service for parents with young children.

Awards include Best Overseas Holiday Provider, Best Family Restaurant, and Best Baby Food Brand. Parents can vote online via the Tommy's website, www.tom, or by picking up a voting slip from selected high street retailers.
