Communications News: Website devised for incontinent youths

Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence has launched the first dedicated website for incontinent teenagers.

The organisation, set up by the Children's Society in 1988 before becoming a distinct charity in 1991, developed the site to bridge the information gap between services for younger children and adults.

Designed for 13-17-year-olds, features an email adviser, case studies, downloads and games.

It also runs a moderated message board to allow youths who experience occasional or regular episodes of bed-wetting, daytime wetting or soiling, to share their experiences confidentially.
