Community Foundation Network unveils fresh identity

Charity changes its name to UK Community Foundations and introduces new strapline

The Community Foundation Network has changed its name to UK Community Foundations.

The charity, which represents 54 community foundations in the UK, said the new name was introduced yesterday with the new strapline "for thriving communities".

Stephen Hammersley, chief executive of UKCF, said the strapline was important because the words reflected the organisation’s vision of what community foundations in the UK are about.

"They define what we and the donors we support want our nations, regions, cities, towns and villages to be," he said. "Most importantly, ‘thriving communities’ is not a concept, but an experience that everyone can and should aspire to enjoy."
