Crisis to focus on emotional support under 'new vision'

Homelessness charity Crisis has unveiled a new portfolio of services this week and is changing its focus to providing emotional support to homeless people.

The charity's new vision is "to fight homelessness and empower people to fulfil their potential and transform their lives". It has also changed its logo from the familiar house symbol to a one representing personal crisis and suffering.

Along with 10 new partnership projects (Third Sector, 14 August), two new Crisis-branded services were unveiled this week, Changing Lives and Skylight. All the projects reflect its renewed emphasis on caring for the emotional needs of the "hidden homeless

- the 400,000 people living in UK hostels, B&Bs and on friends' floors.
