Dannii buoys World Aids Day

Pop singer Dannii Minogue started her new role as an ambassador for young people at the Terrence Higgins Trust by posing in nothing but red ribbons last week. A slightly different version of the photo, which told people to "wear your ribbon on World Aids Day", was sent to the national media to promote HIV/Aids. It appeared in the Daily Mirror, The Sun, Metro and Hello!, and on news websites Sky and Yahoo!. Now the charity has been given permission to use the picture for further publicity and fundraising material. The singer will help the charity to campaign and lobby for greater political and public understanding of the impact of HIV/Aids. Minogue said: "HIV is not a gay thing, an age thing or a race thing - it is sadly a part of life, and we need to understand that."
