Deadline approaching for Third Sector Awards

You can avoid paying a late-entry fee by applying no later than 11:59pm on 6 June

The deadline for entries to this year’s Third Sector Awards, which recognise the achievements of charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises, is less than a week away.

The standard deadline to avoid paying a late fee for entry to this year’s awards is 11:59pm on 6 June.

There are 26 categories, including Volunteer of the Year, Charity Chief Executive, Fundraising Campaign and Small Charity, Big Achiever, which will be awarded to an organisation with an income of less than £500,000 a year that has made a significant impact with its work.

There are two new awards this year: Best Charity Film and Best Use of Impact Reporting.

The entries will be judged by an expert panel chaired by Sarah Lindsell, chief executive of the Brain Tumour Charity, which was last year’s Charity of the Year.

Other judges include Karin Woodley, chief executive of the anti-poverty charity Cambridge House, Jake Ferguson, chief executive of Hackney CVS, and Di Gornall, director of fundraising at the homelessness charity Centrepoint.

The specialist insurance firm Markel is the headline sponsor of the awards and the marketing company WPN Chameleon is assisting with the creative work.

The winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony in London on 19 September.
