Deadline now close for entry to Business Charity Awards 2019

The awards celebrate the significant contribution made by companies to UK charities and social enterprises

The deadline to enter Third Sector’s Business Charity Awards 2019 is rapidly approaching.

Charities and their corporate partners have until 11:59pm tomorrow, Tuesday 12 February, to put in applications for the 27 categories in this year’s awards, which celebrate the significant contribution made by companies to UK charities and social enterprises.

But late entries will still be accepted until 22 February for an additional fee of £25.

Judges for this year’s awards include Ankita Patel, corporate responsibility manager at Harrods, Fozia Irfan, chief executive of the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation, Wanda Wyporska, executive director at the Equality Trust, and Daniel Vernon, performance and engagement coordinator at Heathrow.

Caroline Bishop, global communications director at GSK, and Clodagh Connolly, senior manager at the awards partner organisation LBG, which measures and manages corporate community investment, are co-chairing the judging panel.

New categories this year include Long-Term Partnership and Short-Term Partnership awards.

Other awards include Outstanding Employee, which will go to someone who has made an exceptional contribution to charity with the support of his or her employer.

One company from all the winners will be crowned Business of the Year, which was won last year by the pharmaceutical company GSK for its long-standing work with Save the Children.

The shortlisted organisations will be announced in April and the awards ceremony will take place in central London on 22 May.
