Deadline extended in response to postal strike

The Institute of Fundraising has extended the deadline for small to medium enterprises payroll giving grant scheme because of possible delays caused by the current postal strike.

Organisations were asked to submit by today details of the first payroll giving deductions they had made together with the donor details to receive the one off incentive grant payment of £300, £400 or £500 for the Payroll Giving SME grants programme.

However, the institute has extended the final submission date until Monday morning.

"Payroll giving agencies will be flexible in their arrangements in light of this Friday's postal strike,” said Tina Steele, Payroll Giving Project Manager at the institute. “They will take into account any cheques containing first payroll giving deductions from payroll givers at small and medium sized businesses and fulfil unpaid grants up until Monday morning."

Cheques can be sent off to Payroll Giving Agencies or payments made directly into the Payroll Giving Agencies bank accounts by the Monday morning deadline.
