Design with bite

This bridal gown made of mosquito netting by London-based designer Basia Zarzycka was one of 18 outfits creating a buzz at a fashion show held by the Christian relief and development agency World Vision. The charity challenged designers to create outfits made wholly or partly from mosquito nets to highlight the dangers of malaria in developing countries. A host of UK designers participated, including Zarzycka and Bellville Sassoon. World Vision also launched its alternative gift catalogue, which offers people the chance to buy gifts for families in the developing world.
