Dialog Group restructures after financial collapse

Major fundraising supplier the Dialog Group International has been forced to restructure its UK operations because of serious financial problems.

Five of the group's operations - DialogueDirect Fundraising UK, Face2Face Fundraising UK, NTT Fundraising, Dialog Services and Integrity Recruitment - went into voluntary administration last week. The group formed a subsidiary company, Dialog Group Operations, which purchased the five brands, which will continue to exist under the same names.

"The Dialog Group is unable to pay all its creditors, which is why it has gone into voluntary administration," said a spokesman for the group.

"Professional advice indicated that voluntary administration would provide creditors with the best solution," he added.

The company made 17 redundancies last year, including several senior staff, some of whom threatened legal action when they were asked to accept staggered severance payments. The company said it had now paid all those who objected in full.

Bruce Leeke, director of events at the Institute of Fundraising, said the fundraising suppliers market was in robust health despite Dialog's problems.
