Dogs Trust takes a hard line on bunny vibrator campaign

The Dogs Trust has decided to take on Ann Summers for bastardising its trademark slogan 'a dog is for life, not just for Christmas' in a vibrator advert.

The saucy lingerie and sex toy retailer used the phrase 'a rabbit is for life not just for Christmas' to market its Rampant Rabbit vibrator.

Dogs Trust, which was known until recently as the National Canine Defence League, has used the phrase for 25 years and has registered it as a trademark.

The charity is now in negotiations with Ann Summers and several other companies that have bastardised the phrase.

"Anyone who infringes the Dogs Trust trademark will be asked to offer substantial help to animal welfare in some way or will be faced with legal action," said the charity in a statement.
