Helen Donohoe is to take over from Chris Stalker as head of campaigns and communications at the NCVO.

Donohoe joins from the Women's Sports Foundation, where she led research, campaigning and public affairs work for three years.

She previously worked at the National Asthma Campaign, Mencap and the Institute of Alcohol Studies in Brussels. "It's an exciting time for the sector, and I'm delighted to have the chance to be part of the NCVO's work," she said.

"After years of campaigning for individual causes, I'm looking forward to championing the work of the sector."

Stalker has moved to head the NCVO's campaigning effectiveness programme (Third Sector, 21 June).
