“We are fortunate to have a new convener with the knowledge and experience that Alison possesses,” said Martin Sime, chief executive of the SCVO. “Her commitment to the sector and her ability will be great assets to both the SCVO and the wider voluntary sector.”
In 2006 Elliot chaired the SCVO Better Public Services Forum, which looked at the role of the third sector as a provider of public services.
Elliot said: “Scotland is lucky to have a vibrant voluntary sector and I’m looking forward to being more involved with it through the SCVO.”
