Enterprises need 'private partners'

Social enterprises need brokering organisations to help them form successful partnerships with businesses, according to a new report by the think tank Sustain-Ability.

The report, which is being launched today at the Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship in Oxford, found that a constant problem for social enterprises was the need for new organisations to introduce them to potential partners in the private sector.

"We are trying to encourage the building of bridges between enterprise and business," said Maggie Brenneke, director of the social enterprise programme at SustainAbility.
