Entries now open for Business Charity Awards 2020

The awards celebrate the contribution made by companies to charities and social enterprises

Entries have opened for Third Sector’s Business Charity Awards 2020, which celebrate the significant contribution made by companies to UK charities and social enterprises.

There are 25 categories, including a new sustainability award, plus the Business of the Year award, which will be selected from winners on the night.

The pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca was named Business of the Year 2019 for its work with the children’s charity Plan International UK to reduce non-communicable diseases around the world by giving young people information about how they could lead healthy lives.

Other awards in 2020 include: Outstanding Employee, which is given to a person in a company who has made an exceptional contribution to charity with the support of their employer; Challenge Event of the Year, which recognises a team from a business that took part in a successful fundraising challenge to benefit a UK charity; and Employee Engagement Initiative of the Year, which will go to a company that has adopted policies that have resulted in a significant increase in charitable donations or activities by its workforce.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in central London on 20 May.

Entries made by the early-bird deadline of 6 February will cost £375 plus VAT and those made before the standard deadline of 17 February will cost £460 plus VAT.
