Entries open for TV fundraising award

Fundraisers are being asked for their entries to the 2008 Gold Star Award for Excellence in Direct Response TV Fundraising, which will be presented at the International Fundraising Conference later this year.

Adverts must have aired since May 2007, and each entry should include details of campaign objectives, fundraising strategy, the results and an argument stating why the campaign should win.

A panel of judges from the fundraising sector will draw up a shortlist of six finalists, and delegates at the IFC, which takes place in Holland from 14 to 17 October, will vote for the winner.

The closing date for entries is 31 August.

SOS Children’s Villages from the Netherlands won the award last year with its ad following an orphaned girl  called Mouna (available below).
