Family funeral for Luke FitzHerbert

A private funeral will be held in February for Luke FitzHerbert, who was killed in a road accident on 7 January. It will be followed by a spring memorial event that will be open to everyone.

The Directory of Social Change said it had been so overwhelmed with tributes and donations for its senior researcher that it had to open a dedicated bank account.

Debra Allcock Tyler, chief executive of the DSC, said: "We have had so many cheques from people who knew him, and Luke's family will decide what to do with the money in due course. We have also had nearly 300 tributes on our website.

"Luke's wife, Kay, said that all the positive feedback and tributes have really helped the family and aided her recovery."
