Fathers 4 Justice to accuse police over data leak to press

Controversial group Fathers 4 Justice is preparing to make an official complaint against Scotland Yard for allegedly leaking data-protected information about its members.

The group claims that it has received evidence that information has been deliberately leaked to a national newspaper in a bid to discredit its members.

Fathers 4 Justice founder Matt O'Connor said: "Members from the police force have told us that information has been leaked and we believe that a number of facts that were published in a newspaper could only have come from Scotland Yard."

As a result, the group does not plan to co-operate with police from now on. The charity is planning a Christmas of Chaos which will involve hundreds of Father Christmases in "Santa sit-in" protests around the group's official demonstation in London on 18 December - the group's biggest protest yet.
