Have you seen Lepra's work first hand? I have been to India and Bangladesh. Unfortunately, there was a lot of trouble in Bangladesh and I wasn't able to see any of the projects, but I did in India. It really put what we do into perspective.

How does working for a charity differ from a doing so for a corporation? The difference is the end product - working to alleviate poverty, hardship or disease. An individual is benefiting at the end of it.

What would your ideal day be? Going to watch Chelsea win at Stamford Bridge, followed by a meal and ending up at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.

What is your proudest achievement? I worked for Greenpeace International in Amsterdam and brought all the national offices together into one reporting format. My proudest achievement personally is raising my three children and seeing them through university.

Who is your favourite comedian? Micky Flanagan is very down to earth and he comes from my part of the East End of London. So far his fame hasn't gone to his head.
